Custom Millwork

We specialize in Victorian millwork that replicates elements of the distinguished artistry and craftsmanship that defined the turn of the 20th century. Although by no means limited to this style, we do take pride in continuing the attention to detail that this era produced in architectural elements including corbels, balusters, mill posts, and crown molding. We have hundreds of knives that match most existing profiles and we can make custom knives to suit any unique wood shape you can envision. 

We are known for our ability to renovate old Victorian structures with intricate designs and authentic patterns, all while bringing them up to current building codes with modern conveniences. This could apply to balusters and handrails, for example, where we take a sample of your Victorian feature and reproduce or update it to today’s safety codes. Our craftsmen possess the expertise to blend the elegance of the past with the functionality and aesthetics demanded by modern architectural trends.

Humboldt County is world-famous for being redwood country, and gives us access to the finest lumber in the world. Being extremely stable and resistant to rot, bugs and water, redwood is by far the superior wood for any exterior project. But we also work with Mahogany, Cedar and any wood of your choosing for indoor or outdoor projects.
